Rounding Whole Numbers
To round whole numbers first you must decide what place value you want to round the number to. For this example, we will round to the thousands place. The place to the left of the comma. You look one digit to the right, which is 7. 7 is equal to or greater than 5 thus you round up the 4 to 5. With the remaining digits to the right of the thousands place you turn to zero. Your rounded whole number is 65 thousand.
